Genderations Zine
The Genderations Zine will be a self-published mini-magazine that will feature submissions from Trans & Gender Expansive folks across all generations, experiences, and communities. We welcome a large breadth of ways people may choose to express themselves, including mediums that may not traditionally be considered visual art (jewelry, fiber arts, woodworking, music, etc.). Accepted submissions will be compensated, more information upon request.
Want to submit? Use our submission form. If this is inaccessible to you or somebody who may be interested, we are happy to work with you to find a more accessible option! This could include assisted storytelling, phone interviews, or other alternative submission options.
Not sure what to submit? Come to our biweekly Art Co-Working Drop-Ins to connect with other artists, talk about your submission, and get support from Trans-Wa staff!

Guidelines for Submissions:
✅Accepted
- Visual art or writing spread that can fit on a vertical, 5×8.5in page
- Submissions in English OR in other languages with an English translation provided
- Swearing, including reclaimed slurs
- Nudity that does not include pornographic materials, uncensored genitals, or nudity of minors (or any related sexual crimes)
❌Not Accepted
- Submissions that do not align with Genderations’ theme of TGE joy and resistance
- Submissions that are AI generated, plagiarized, or are not created by the applicant
- Submissions containing or perpetuating hate speech, zionism, and/or trans-medicalism,
- Submissions containing non-consensual, identifying information or depictions of others (who are not part of popular media)
